Drusy & Aura Coating
When aiming for the best Drusy & Auracoating, the chosen Gemstone or Crystal has to be pristine to start with. Pure Metals such as Titanium, Silicium and Platinum can be bonded on the surface of the gems. Names such as Angel Aura, Si-Opal or Aqua Aura refer to the color of the coating and the manufacturing process. There are 2 different processes involved: AquaAura coating (~1000 degrees Celsius) and vaporised Metallcoating (~700 degrees Celsius) aka VDP.
Beautiful Mirrored Surface!!! The hue of metal on the gemstone forms a fixed bond with the stone's surface and will last centuries if well taken care of. Trivia: the coating process VDP is known from mirrored sunglasses and AquaAura is known from goldcoating on Astronaut Helmets' protective faceshield.
